As I enter my kids' bedroom, I find a bag made with plastic net, stuffed
with some crumpled papers and a ziplock with a few rubber bands, hung
from the handle of a shelf's door. Unable to understand what's going on
in this corner of the house and not knowledgeable enough to conceive
what the arrangement meant, I called Kaka, gestured my eyebrows towards
it and asked him to explain. It went on this way..... He planned a
tournament on Sunday with his friends, for which they need
to practice for 5 days. He cut today's newspaper into 60 vertical
strips and rolled each of them into something resembling a cigarette.
The rolls are to be launched using the rubber bands, making a paper
sling. He has to try and hit the target using 10 of them everyday during
the warm-up period so that he can strike 10 on 10 on the D-day!!
Pleasantly surprised on how much thought of the young minds goes into
strategizing, preparing and Implementing a well-organized activity!!
Inspired by the planning and conviction of the kids everytime I look at
the hanging game kit!!
