When our chemistry lecturer, Mr.Muzheer introduced us to the concept of subatomic particles and the gold foil experiments that revealed the presence of positive charge in the atomic nucleus; we as the 15 year-olds who just got a sneak peek into the vastness of atomic theory
were truly mesmerized by the discoveries, contributions and the creative thinking of Ernst Rutherford!! Now, when Proton celebrates it's hundredth birthday, I am confused as to whom to be gratuitous towards..... Muzheer sir who made the subject so interesting and profound?? or the scientist who has actually created the foundation on which the subject is built??!!
