Time is a tricky guru!! It teaches lessons in an unforgettable way. It
just pushes the case study on to the student, irrespective of the
preparedness or his level of aptitude. It already knows, 'no amount of
coaching can help him anyway' (with that sly smile)!! The first response
is disbelief....'this can't happen to me', 'this is not true'
vis-a-vis...'the question is out of syllabus'!! The frustration of
unpreparedness brings out the devil in us, (thumping the desk, 'I should
have studied the concept in detail')... But, then there are no cheat
codes or answer keys or copy chits and the only way to pass the test is
to greet and confront it!! Challenge accepted!!
The next thought that comes to the mind is, 'who all can help me'... ('are the others busy answering the question or just looking around helplessly?')!! 'That guy to whom I showed my answers last time might be the saviour!!' We miss the point that such favors might not automatically guarantee an advantage in return from them.... The reality hits us painfully in this distraught state!! He might be that grumpy lad, 'why should I' or that tensed guy, 'I might lose time' or that weak student who himself is struggling!! Their response to the request is however priceless.... We get to realize the friends in need and the friends indeed! Time for reality check....Don't panic or play the blame game... just change the lens to those cool shades of sunglasses.
Then, run out of options, we sit down to work it out by ourselves....the satisfaction derived from resolving it, drawing out from our own knowledge and experience serves another purpose... The learning makes us self-reliant, drives away our fears and surprises us with the abilities that we didn't know we had, till now.... 'Case studies are easy yaar.... It just takes us to understand the scenarios and apply the concept that best suits them!'
True spirit is in tackling with the problems by ourselves irrespective of the result. Failures teach us what not to repeat and success shows us the way. Anyways, we end up upgrading ourselves, after understanding the true colors of 'our' people!! Time is not just the healer...It is the tester, resolver and the strangest teacher!!
