Trip to Tirumala

The 3-month long process of getting a slot for darshan, booking a room for accommodation, making arrangements for the 13-hour journey, gaining mental approval necessary to be away from home on Diwali, budgeting the savings necessary for the trip, back of the mind thoughts about 'is it going to happen, especially during festival time?', speculation over what other places to cover in the two days, coordinating with the family, physical strain of moving around with backpacks and ensuring health and safety of children and wading through the chambers of crowd for 3 hours just to catch a glimpse of the Lord for a fraction of a second might sound crazy. .
The 10-feet tall statue entirely covered with garlands of colorful flowers, decorated with three-striped naamam on forehead, the mesmerizing eyes, wide feet, the aura created by the soothingly dull light created by the oil-lamps; Lord Venkateswara stands tall representing might, pleasantness, composure and peace. Every bit of planning and every Joule of energy spent on the process were worth and well-utilized.
Descending down the seven hills, I am thinking, 'When am I destined to ascend them again?!'
