I was wondering why every woman is in awe with the portrayal of Devasena
while they have got to see a similar warrior princess, Avanthika, much
earlier.... Found the answer now... Women of today prefer to surrender
to love that is coupled with respect for the female counterpart rather
than merely be tamed and domesticated by male ego!! The sooner the
people take the lesson, the better!!
Life is a path set with pebbles of wisdom..the choice to pick them up or ignore them makes the difference!! I re-live the journey by penning it down!

RIP Reema Lagoo
When you realize that your daughter's would-be father-in-law once had
a crush on you, during the college days; which has transformed into
pure respect and regard as life took its own path and you just need to
receive the present situation with grace and dignity as you are entering
into a new relationship with the same person after 25 years and that
too sending your child to become a part of their family.....
When the son who is a don comes to you with insecurity as he has to finally surrender to the system and you are just concerned about him as a mother and take him into your arms with pure love and mercy......
When the son who is a don comes to you with insecurity as he has to finally surrender to the system and you are just concerned about him as a mother and take him into your arms with pure love and mercy......
When you do not approve of your son's relationship with a girl whose
financial status doesn't match up with yours and just want to separate
them wisely because the person involved is your husband's friend but you
are in no mood to hurt your son as well..... these complicated and
priceless expressions can only be learnt from the filmography of the
seasoned actress....Reema Lagoo!!
She not only made the roles of mother look so cool, lovable, real, warm and of course beautiful; she was also her best as a mother-in-law. She was one of my father's favorite actresses and he loved every bit of her performance in Hum Aapke Hai Kaun. May her soul rest in peace!!
